Amazing spot. AYCE deal was tough to beat. Good selection and creative rolls. The salmon/basil roll was unlike any other sushi roll ive ever had, and being such a tremendous glutton - i've had a lot. Pretty small place so be prepared to wait or jam yourself in at the sushi bar. It is also BYOB only. Which is a good thing, if you know. But a bad thing if you didn't plan accordingly and want a beer.

Yelp describes 2 stars as "Meh. I've experienced better." Very true for this place. I admit that I like the all you can eat option and the BYOB option is great. However, the sushi itself is meh - mostly because of the rice. Their rice is way too sticky and they pack it so tight that it's almost as dense as a rice cake. If they had better rice I would easily give them 3 or 4 stars because the all you can eat is a great value. And if you're thinking "who cares about the rice"...I have nothing to say you.

First time I've had anything negative to say about a Sushi Ring restaurant. Been eating at the original for years. I go to this location because it's closer to home. I remember when Paul was training with Elvis before opening this location. Walked in and sat down. Since I'd eaten at the original restaurant just two days ago (it was amazing, by the way), I expected the same treatment here. I was disappointed almost immediately. Seems like since last time I ate here, things have changed. No more sitting at the counter and having a sushi chef start making you pieces immediately. Now, you have to fill out a menu before they will lift a finger for you. How exactly do you plan out an entire "all-you-can-eat" meal at the start? It's not easy. I expect I'll waste much more sushi this way since I won't be able to adjust my order as I go. Don't get me wrong. The fish is still amazing, the chefs are skilled and the pieces are works of art. It just seems like the casual dining experience that made Sushi Ring's AYCE such a success has gone the way of the dodo bird. Guess I'll just have to drive farther to go to see Elvis from now on.

Had the Samurai, couldn't get the all you can eat but it seemed like a good deal. Service was fast, courteous and friendly. I will be back again to try the all you can eat. The address for Google and Iphone put it in a different spot then it really is, just look behind the Mexican restaurant shopping center.

Love this place! Definitely recommend! Absolutely five stars. The staff was awesome! Sushi was made right there and was such a fun atmosphere.

"Walk in as strangers. Walk out as friends" Is not just a slogan, it's a way of doing business here. You have to order the upside down shrimp and salmon skin roll. After that it's all good. We also had the caterpillar roll and lobster roll which we will get again. Started with a miso soup and mussels. Seriously, we've had nothing we said never again

Amazing Sushi at a reasonable price. Everything tastes fresh which is pretty amazing for Sushi on Colorado. The location is nice. Staff are very friendly

What a great atmosphere and staff; the whole family is in the "Arena" making sushi. Like the Cheers of sushi joints with tons of regular customers. BYOB and $27 for all you can eat; how can you go wrong?

This place is awesome! Best Sushi in the Springs by far. All you can eat is totally worth the price; and they offer a military discount.

The sushi was great! Service was quick! We ordered four rolls and we were in and out in less than 30 minutes.

Five star #18: Obviously, I don't say this often, but this was a perfect experience. Full disclaimer, as a rule, I find all you can eat sushi places very suspect. I've never been a quantity over quality kind of guy, however with Sushi Ring II, I was able to get both. Our sushi chef, Jeffrey (who I think was the owner Paul's son), was fantastic. Attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. After reviewing the menu, I settled on the AYCE dinner option as I had my eye on the Pikes Peak roll (as it turns out I was going to eat 7 of them). The fish was superb and the roll was dynamite. After the first one, I decided it was going to be way more effective to order them in groups of three. The tuna and salmon was a perfect combo to the spicy tuna in the roll (be sure to add cucumber). The other members of my group ordered several different rolls; Colorado Springs, Army, etc. They were all very good, but my heart belongs to the Pikes Peak. I've read the reviews and they are spot on, it is going to take a while to get your sushi rolled. What do you expect though, you've got a bunch of gluttonous people like yours truly and a finite amount of space (the entire place seats 45 if memory serves). To that end, you HAVE to sit at the bar. If there isn't an open seat, wait. It beats sitting at the few tables they have, trust me on this. The chefs seemed way more engaged with their customers at the bar, and you need to be one of them. This is especially true if you're going to order off menu or make changes to their existing rolls. If you're a sushi fan you need to give Sushi Ring II a chance. I feel confident in saying you won't be disappointed. You can thank me later.

If Cheers were a sushi bar, it would be Sushi Ring II. Small and inviting just like a good sushi bar should be, the owner and his wife have the uncanny ability to remember you - and your sushi preferences - after the first visit. The horseshoe shaped bar seats about 20 and you can choose all you can eat lunch/dinner which is a helluva deal for the fully trained and prepped sushi eaters, or order a la carte for lightweights such as moi. This place is so good that I have no plans on seeking out Sushi Ring I. The 2.0 version is perfect for me.

It had come to our attention recently that we've had reviews that have questioned our lack in customer service. As many of our loyal customers know, customer service is important to Paul & I. I would like to apologize to those who have experienced less than satisfactory service. It is my goal to provide the best customer service & quality of sushi available. There is no excuse for lack of service. Unfortunately, the last several months, I have been consumed with a serious family illness because of this, Paul & I have been traveling and have not been able to mange our restaurant like we would like but it was beyond our control. We hire staff that we feel can live up to our expectations, however; without proper training, the service can fall by the wayside. We will continue to strive for excellence. Please be patient as we regroup and get back on track. Thank you for your patience & understanding.

The sushi wasn't bad but not that great. I got the mountain roll and the garden of the gods and it pretty much tasted and looked like the same roll but one had seared fish on top and the other one didn't . Both rolls had only a shrimp tempura on the inside that wasnt even crispy. The sushi was a bit dry too. Maybe cause i ordered it to go that it wasn't prepared as nice i dunno.

First night was over a few months ago and the service, the sushi was incredible! I was so happy that I finally found a fresh option compared to what C/S has to offer elsewhere. Now I would love to give this place a whopping 5 stars BUT my second time ordering (to go) was a disaster! Don't get me wrong, I love the young staff and the husband, they are all very friendly and respectful. As for the wife, so so rude over me questioning my bill. It was over $1.00. This woman wants to scare away a paying HAPPY customer over a $1.00 discrepancy. I'm not sure if she is with menopause or that she must be demeaning and defensive over someones mistake in order not to look weak. Regardless, she cost herself a customer and income to those who really deserve my hard earned money. I hope the end result was worth her little temper tantrum.

Pro tip: Sit yourself at the bar, no matter what. Sitting at the tables just goes badly. Bring your own beverages, for some reason their menus have alcoholic beverages listed, but they don't serve it, but you can bring you own. Order ALL of the sushi you might want, don't do multiple sheets, it will go badly and slowly. There is all you can eat for 29 (dinner) or you can go off the menu. Its your choice. Pros: Amazing sushi, great fish to rice ratio - usually all you can eat overdoes the rice, this place does not. Great sized rolls, lots of options, great flavors. Cons: They are not super speedy, but that's ok. Sitting at the table definitely limits your service, don't do it. The owners are an adorable couple and the wife did check on us and harass the fellas behind the bar, but it didn't really speed them up. There are a ton of workers, mostly white boys behind the counter. Funny and neat all at the same time. This would definitely have been a 5 star review... Had i not suffered from not being the correct person. The first 30 minutes were amazing and we talked about making a day trip to the springs just to enjoy this place and their sushi. After a relative of hostess arrived, all our rolls and orders were behind their order. Then a family friend arrived with a party of 8 and our orders were pushed further back behind their large order... They were hoping to obtain our table, if only they knew how much faster they could have had it, had they not gotten preferential sushi preparation.

Finally. What a perfect meal to go along with a good night. Driving through a storm...on the way home into the mountains of Manitou...the staff greeted us immediately, warm and friendly in this cozy, family-friendly but possibly mischievous 'sushi arena;. there are two booths waiting to be taken over for 'meetings' and lunches/dinners that will last too long; BYOB/WINE/SAKE/WhatHaveYou. Ordered to-go with lovely date, looked over deliciously simple menu of nagiri (next time fried tofu...next time...) and observed the staff do its thing, entertaining 20 guests around the packed bar as thunder and lightning did their thing in the parking lot and canyons outside (life in Colorado normalcy). EL Presidente - spicy tuna - shrimp - loved it - the tail - CRUNCH - sweet and perfect alongside an Avocado Roll - 2 ingredients - perfectly wrapped - tight, small bites of deliciousness, rice with texture, full with fresh avocado - delicious - great with the vibrant house wasabi - and also munched the Wise Guy Roll for some more tuna and avocado. If the simple things were this good I can't wait for next time. Since I live in Manitou...A taxi may be required for the full delights, which would have to an omakase experience. UPDATE: Sushi is once more a staple of my diet and each visit is a good one.

The all-you-can-eat buffet option is great, but prepare yourself for a wait if you aren't the first ones there during a busy time. I would probably suggest coming before their prime time, which is probably around 4:30ish. The attention area at the restaurant is definitely the bar area so aim to sit down over there. Tables get average attention and often get overlooked. Overall, be patient for delicious sushi and come here during a slow time. Yelp on!

This place is amazing! The sushi is delicious and the staff super fun and friendly. The All You Can Eat sushi is a great deal, especially if you want to try out new rolls!

  • Ricardo V.

found this place on yelp and it appeared that it had high marks but when I went in they had a special of all u can eat lunch price and dinner price. the lunch you can only pick certain ones and dinner price all. almost $30 for dinner. the lunch one was those low level Sushi like California roll not very appealing for a true Sushi lover. not that many house rolls, were the Sushi chefs come up with rolls they name themselves to get different taste or creativity. Just average normal run of the mill rolls. Staff was OK, but nothing special. This was an average place that had a limited menu.

    (2)
  • Alex L.

They have a saying written on their walls "Come as strangers and leave as friends." So true! The owners talk to you as if you were being invited into their home. The sushi also speaks for itself. They also have some specialty rolls with funny names like the Barry Manilow roll that was outstanding! This place gets packed VERY FAST SO COME EARLY! I hope they are looking forward to expanding their space because even when we left there were people standing outside. All the sushi chefs were so focused they probably could've cut the sushi with their jedi minds! Looking forward to coming back and seeing our friends in the Springs! Cheers!

The menu is simple and the fish was very fresh. Being a connoisseur of fresh fish from Southern California, just outside of LAX (and being uptight about quality), this place is pretty good! They have a deal where you can spend about $30 on a Friday or Saturday and eat endless rolls, i'm more for a quality piece of fresh fish on a bed of rice without it being in a roll. I will however recommend the Samurai Roll which was quite delicious, maybe not the greatest I have ever had, but very good and tasty! I have to say that I'm very disappointed that this establishment does not have alcohol (possibly due to the fact that it was lost due to over-serving or under-age serving),BUT they allow you to bring in your own alcohol which is nice. I was offered a few glasses of a customers adult beverage during my visit which will keep the stars here at 4. I would easily raise my review if I was guaranteed a nice cold sake or Asahi to wash down the meal. I will be back with a personal stock of Beer and Sake for my next visit.

Absolutely the BEST! My husband and I moved to the area about 6 months ago and have been going almost every other week since we got here! Paul and the entire staff are all so nice and make us feel right at home. Food is fantastic and so many things to choose from! I would definitely recommend coming here if your looking for good food, good people and a great atmosphere!

    (5)
  • Marina M.

All you can eat for $27 is worth it! Really awesome sushi, and even when they are busy they get you your sushi in a reasonable time. It's also BYOB so you can bring your own alcohol and drink it (they do not serve it) If you get there and it's busy I recommend you stick around, it's well worth the wait.

I went here based on the reviews alone. I guess i got a bit to hyped up, because i didn't find this place to live up to the hype. I didn't have a terrible experience by any means at all, it was just a normal sushi place. They made it clear they are known for their all you can eat sushi, which isn't bad for $25.00 but who eats that much sushi? So we just ordered the regular rolls. The presentation was nice and most of the sushi tasted fresh (one roll of tuna was very soggy and mushy) The miso soup confused me. I have been to a bunch of sushi restaurants and have never had this kind of miso soup. There was a ton of crunchy bits. Tasted greasy almost. Reminded me of the bits left over at the bottom of the fryer. It may have been tempura bits but I'm not sure, not sure why they put it in the soup, never had that before, it was just not what I was expecting. However the staff was very friendly and the sushi bar was very large. If you eat a ton of sushi in a sitting, this all you can eat may be for you!

Service was very poor, Sushi chef talks way to much his constant distraction shows in his poor sushi creations. Will not be returning.

We are from CA...I know, I can hear your groans but my Husband grew up in Falcon and we have moved here to help out on the ranch. We have tried 3 other sushi places and have not been impressed until we tried Sushi Ring II. Small, cozy, Mom and Pop place with very good quality sushi with some flare. We met Dad, Mom and Son and they made our evening and even offered us a taste of a speciality for free. You do have to bring your own booze but it did not bother us at all and maybe saved us some $$. We tried the Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods and Seven Peaks. All were wonderful. We plan on becoming "Regulars"

First off, the sushi is great. Not the best I've had but it's Colorado Springs and you can't expect too much. Unfortunately, service was crap.. They were not attentive at all and I actually regret leaving a tip at all. We felt as if only people sitting at the bar were being catered to.. More than likely we will not be coming back just cause it didn't quite tickle my fancy when it comes to enjoying sushi..

Whoa! That's all I can say. My go-to sushi joint has been on a downward trend so the wife and I skimmed through some Yelp reviews to find another go-to place and I think it's safe to say we did! This place is awesome! The owner, Paul, and his staff make for a fun and enjoyable environment. It feels like a "dive sushi bar". A lot of playful banter and customer engagement. Oh and the sushi? Spectacular! I was sold on the freshness of the fish and the unique mix of flavors. I'm a nigiri fan, so I enjoyed that they didn't hide the flavors of the fish or make you purposely full with a lot of rice. Most AYCE places do. I also like that you have an option for hand or long rolls. If you're not sure what's good, just ask for the "chef's choice". Paul made me some specialty nigiri that tasted amazing! ... I just wish I remembered the name so I can order them again! The Highlights: Upside Down Shrimp Tataki (Pepper Seared Tuna) Tai (Snapper) Elvis Roll Wise Guy Roll Upside Down Paul (broiled shrimp) Red Rock Roll White Tuna (So buttery!)

I'm new to Colorado Springs and was looking for a good Sushi place. Unfortunately I didn't find one here this place charged way to much for the sushi they served. I'm from Vegas and if I paid the same price as I paid here which was 27 for all you can eat. I would have ate some good sushi prepared by certified sushi chef's. Wouldn't recommend. Low quality cheap sushi.

I love this place! The food is amazing, the service is incredible and the prices are hard to beat. I have been here on multiple occasions and have never had a bad meal. The all you can eat sushi is the best deal. The owner is usually working, and not only is he an amazing sushi chef he is super entertaining and funny. If you are looking for sushi I definitely recommend checking this place out!

  • Greg Z.

I enjoyed Sushi Ring II very much. I agree that you should sit at the large sushi bar, that way you can talk to the chefs and they will find out what you like and make suggestions. Their suggestions were better than what I ordered on my own. I am coming back for sure.

My husband and I went for a date night. Being new to Colorado, we just picked a random sushi spot. We walked in a bit timid and quiet, but by the end if the meal, we were chatting with everyone! It's such a relaxing, cozy place. This was the best quality sushi we have ever had, hands down. We will be returning often.

My new favorite sushi place in Colorado Springs!! Great sushi with a smile. This family-owned place offers some of the freshest, tastiest and creative sushi that I have ever had. You honestly come to this place as a customer and leave as a friend. Everyone is so friendly and accomodating. Jeffrey is one of the sons and is also a very talented and funny sushi chef. He made great recommendations and even offered us some delicious complimentary samplings. Give that man a raise!! Everything was truly wonderful and we can't wait to come back. Sit at the sushi bar and you won't be disappointed. Peace, Love & Sushi

Being born and raised in Hawaii I wasn't sure how I would ever find a place in Colorado Springs that had good fresh tasting Sushi. Boy was I WRONG... After a lot of research and eating a few places that were questionable my husband and I found Sushi Ring II run by Paul and his family. Its AMAZING before I got pregnant we went there monthly and always got the all you could eat. Most of the time we eat so much we feel like we need a wheelbarrow to get out to our car. The staff really gets to know their customers. I have run into Paul outside of the Sushi Ring II at a grocery store all the way across Co Sprgs and he remembered me by name. Paul took the time to ask what sushi dishes I missed from home and while they aren't on the menu if he's there at the restaurant when we come in he starts making them for us even before we have had a chance to order. His staff is the exact same way when we come in they know us by name and I have seen them recognize so many other customers by name. They also have no problem changing what they add to or remove from the sushi based on your taste. We took my father there to eat when he was out visiting and his comment was "This sushi is as good if not better than most of the sushi I've had in Japan" This coming from a man who is very involved with Japanese culture in Hawaii. He has also been to Japan a number of times each time he has spends weeks to a month living in Japan with friends and his former Higashi Honganji buddhist sensei's and their families who know where to go in their towns/cities for sushi. The down sides to Sushi Ring II are 1) It is so popular that depending on what time of the week and day you go you might be waiting for your rolls longer than you would like, even if you are sitting at the bar. However its still well worth the wait and if you get there before the dinner rush your rolls get made faster than you can eat them. 2) They do not serve alcohol but you can easily bring your own. Which in many many ways is so much better because you are no limited to what they offer. There is a liquor store just around the corner from them on 8th street. So make a quick stop in there first and get WHATEVER you might want to drink with dinner.

Love all their rolls !!!! They make them right in front of you. Great customer service !! Everyone is very friendly and chill. They dont sell alcohol but you can bring your own !! I have been here a few times and totally fell in love with their quail egg shooters !! Will come back anytime ! Totally recommended

We tried Sushi Ring II for the first time tonight. We were introducing our kids (ages 5 & 3) to sushi so we were a little anxious that they enjoy the experience. We were welcomed personally by the owner & seated at the bar especially so the kids could watch the food being prepared. The staff went out of their way to help our kids try a wide variety of dishes & really have fun. And they did! They want to do it again! The food was delicious. However, it was the customer service that was truly outstanding & really sets Sushi Ring II apart from other restaurants. We will be going back!

This is my new go-to sushi place in town. There is a lot of competition in Colorado Springs, but I think this place give the best bang for your buck. It's all you can eat. I am a connoisseur of the all you can eat sushi establishment, and this is one of the better ones in the country I've been to. There are a couple other all you can eat sushi places in town, but Sushi Ring II does it right on two counts. One, the sushi comes out in a timely fashion. At some sushi establishments, especially in the all you can eat genre, the chefs are struggling to keep up with the pace. I did not find myself sitting in my chair waiting for the next sushi to come around. Secondly, the decor and the staff are inviting. The decor is nice. The staff is friendly and really makes you feel at home without going over the top. The owner is a really nice, genuine guy with a good sense of humor. As for the sushi itself it's pretty darn good. I wouldn't quite say the quality of the sushi is the absolute best I've had in town, but it's really good. For the price and the atmosphere, I don't think you will find better. If you're looking to chow down on some sushi and fill your belly without breaking the bank, this is a great place to go. I would recommend sitting at the counter as you'll have direct access to the chefs and it will speed up your wait time on sushi. When you go in and announce that you're ready to chow down, the owner will tell you, "Challenge Accepted." He delivered in a big way. Top points.

This place is awesome. A quaint little spot where all the sushi chefs have a great personality and make you feel like family. The all you can eat dinner is awesome and the sushi is high quality. Definitely coming here weekly! Best part .. BYOB beer and wine only please :)

Let's start off with the positive: -Friendly and attentive service -Clean facility The bad: -The food. Ive never had sushi this bad before. Seriously, we had about 7-8 different rolls and not a single one was good. -Service too eager: at some times we would be asked every 3-4 minutes by one of the waiters how our food was and if they could get us anything else.

Sushi ring II Is every bit as good as the original sushi ring what else needs to be said its all you can eat ever roll or piece is custom made. Pick something off menu or creat you own the team of sushi chefs will make what ever you want

The freshest sushi in the Springs, well worth the time I spent traveling from Pueblo to eat here. The staff were very pleasant and provided excellent service. The all you can eat sushi was a hit with my entire family. What a great find.

We're sold. I dragged my husband and his friend in here for dinner on Friday night, and I don't think I've made a better decision in the Springs. Food -- 5 stars! We had a variety of nigiri, rolls and some miso soup. The size and freshness of the fish for the nigiri rivals some of the more expensive places we've been to and is WAY fresher and much larger than the other AYCE place in COS we've been to. The salmon here just melted in my mouth. The rolls were great -- not too much rice and a lot of variety. And the miso soup was actually the best I've had ... ever. And we were given a deep fried cheesecake that was to die for. Service -- 5 stars! We sat at the sushi bar and our waiter, the sushi chef serving us and all the sushi chefs working were so friendly! Our sushi chef gave us a great recommendation to get us started almost the minute we sat down and immediately took our drink order. We had fresh sushi within 5 minutes of sitting down and the place full. Paule (the owner) even came by a few times and talked to us about how we enjoyed everything. Everyone just made us feel at home and made sure we had everything we could want. I love the friendly, local feeling this place has compared to some of the more commercialized places out there. Price -- 5 stars! It was $30 (including tax) for AYCE sushi -- which you cannot beat. I'm pretty sure I ate $30 in nigiri alone. It's just a few dollars more than another AYCE place we used to go to but don't anymore because the service was terrible, the nigiri was meh and the rolls were 80% rice. If you don't go AYCE, there's also a la carte options and the price of the menu is a little less or equal to what I've seen elsewhere. We will be back FOR SURE with family and friends.

I previously left a review of 3 stars as one of my sushi ring favorites was previously very disappointing (the calamari) but Paul, the owner, read my review and rectified the matter. I went there two nights ago and everything was fantastic! He even said hi and referred to me as his friend when talking to his wife :) And I love the atmosphere, very classy! Not to mention, they have red bean ice cream and deep fried cheesecake! The sushi, as always, was out of this world! I highly recommend you try some super white (escolar), The Heart Attack, and quail egg shooters and don't forget the calamari!!! My more recent experience was absolutely superb! I have a new favorite sushi joint ;)

This place is different, fun and I liked the sushi. I would definitely go back. We got the all you can eat deal for dinner, just to try stuff, the price would come out even for my husband and I. I'm not a fan of all you can eat anything, and thought I was in for an average experience, but I was surprised. I think you should try this place and sit at the bar. I like they are going for good food and something fun.

  • Alli B.

AYCE sushi place with delicious, fresh fish and friendly staff!! Why 4 stars and not 5? Several reasons: 1) AYCE sushi was pretty expensive when compared to other places...$27.95 per person! 2) Sashimi is not an option on the AYCE menu....but Nigiri is. Why? Because they want to fill you up with rice!! They put too much rice in their Nigiri and rolls...all part of their master plan. ;) 3) They have beer/sake on their menu online but this location doesn't have their liquor license yet....so they allow you to BYOB. But you don't know that until you arrive!

After some intense yelp "research", as well as some disappointing experiences elsewhere, we tried Sushi Ring II yesterday and it was one of the best choices we ever made. I've been to AYCE sushi places and they tend to be... a little rice heavy and fish skinny. This AYCE is the REAL DEAL- fat delishy fishys, beautiful presentation, no sneaky tricks! Super accomodating staff, SUCH fantastic service and we left fat as happy little pigs.

I went here for the first time last night, and it was the best sushi I have had here in town. The staff are incredibly friendly and don't try to rush you out the way other sushi places in town try to do. Go for the all you can eat, it is totally worth it!

Husband and I LOVE this sushi place! My husband didn't eat sushi until we went here and I think it has to do with the atmosphere. Obviously the food too. Very small though, but everyone chats with each other and an awesome family run business. The fish is really fresh!

Awesome service and awesome sushi! I've been coming to sushi ring 2 since they opened and previously went to the first sushi ring. I've never been disappointed coming here and the all you can eat for $30 is a steal!!!! I recommend this place to everyone who wants quality sushi and excellent service.

This was the best sushi I've ever eaten. My husband and I were visiting from Florida and I was craving sushi so my husband surprised me before our flight in a few hours. The staff was amazingly friendly; made me want to move out here. I didn't do the all you can eat because I don't eat alot so I order 3 rolls and hubby isn't a sushi enthusiast so he order the chicken and shrimp tempura. We were both pleased overall! Thank you!

Food is good. Loved the upside down shrimp. Atmosphere excellent. Everyone is so friendly you want to stay awhile.

This is the only place I go for sushi in Colorado Springs anymore. I've been to at least 10 different sushi places in town and this is by far my favorite. It is small so coming in with a crowd can be tricky. The food is good (best quality all you can eat I've found). The service, people, and price keep me coming back.

Who doesn't love sushi, great service, and being able to try new things? Well I tried them for the first time a few weeks ago and then returned a week later with my fiancé. Most of the time when you try an AYCE sushi restaurant, the rolls and pieces are loaded with rice (to make you full faster) and not great quality. The rice amount here was great and you were able to taste what you should. Beyond the food, The service and staff were awesome and very friendly. We sat at the sushi bar (which I recommend for anyone eating there) and were able to talk to everyone making the sushi. They were fun to chat with and had us try new things. For an AYCE sushi place, they have really good options on their menu. Keep in mind that you do not have to do AYCE. You can order rolls or sashimi if you like however, if you eat a lot of sushi, you're going to end up paying more. Appetizers are included in the AYCE which is nice if you want to try some starters. We had the miso soup that had tempura in it which gave it an extra added flavor. I would also recommend the mussels and gyoza. All flavorful and great quality. The upside down shrimp is definitely one of my favorites! If you have a chance to sit in Paul's section, he'll put his own twist on the upside down shrimp which is deep fried. Everything that we tried was delicious and definitely made us want to go back and try more. I live up north and Sushi Ring II was worth the drive down south!

WHOA. That was awesome. I have recently come to love sushi so I won't claim to be an expert, but good lord this sushi was excellent. They suggested we sit at the bar and that was a great decision because the chef was extremely friendly and made our food right in front of us, one roll at a time. At some other places you have to wait 40+ minutes if you order multiple rolls, so I really loved the idea of getting served one roll at a time so that the food starts almost immediately! I'll definitely be back.

Not very impressed. The ambiance was kind of close and cool, but the sushi wasn't all that great and neither was the service. The yellowtail nigiri was noticeably not very fresh. The rice, for the nigiri and the maki, was flavorless and too tightly compressed. We were there for lunch on a Friday...there was one server. I can't blame the server for not having the time to be attentive...there should have been more servers. You can get a lot of sushi for a good price if you're hungry and do the "all you can eat" option. And, if you eat a whole lot of sushi, you'll get what you paid for.

I went to Sushi Ring 2 last week and had the best sushi I expect to ever have in Colorado. Inside, the servers are very attentive with the drinks, and can clearly explain all menu options. Sam prepared my food for me, boy is he easy on the eyes! My sushi was delicious and I will be back soon. The seating makes it easy to dine by yourself without feeling lonely.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere!!!! We have been to Sushi Ring 2 many times and have never walked away unhappy. Sit at the sushi bar and the chefs will chat with you and fill your orders just as fast as you put them in. If you're not sure what to get, or new to sushi, just ask for suggestions. No alcohol yet- but all the better. Love Sushi Ring 2!!!!!

I tried sushi ring 2 for the first time with 4 friends. Walking in we were excited because this place had great reviews but we were soon disappointed. The waiter that came to us initially was attentive and polite but once we placed our order we became disappointed quick. We ordered 6 rolls and a bento box. The teriyaki bento was way too salty and we got our rolls 20 minutes apart. If you sit around the "arena" or the sushi bar you get served so fast. There were only three people there when we went in and by the time we left (an hour and a half later) the seats were full and people were getting their food super fast. Also when we got our check and gave the waitress our credit cards it took her almost 20 minutes to run them and get them back to us. Seriously disappointing. And I'd like to state that they had plenty of staff so that wasn't an issue. The food was good but if you go with a group and chose to sit at a table expect to wait for your rolls. I'll go back but now I know to sit at the sushi bar so I don't starve waiting at a table.

AMAZING!! I'm from Miami and love sushi I was afraid to try sushi in Colorado but I am so happy I gave it a shot because this place is phenomenal the food is outstanding the service is great and the price unbelievable I am definitely a new regular customer u have to try this place.

This restaurant was very much out of order. When walking in there is a strong fishy smell. Management was poor. Questions of sanitation. I saw the sushi chef touch bins and refrigerator doors with the same gloves used to prepare food. Thought about leaving multiple times. I ordered 5-7 rolls and most of them were too salty to eat because they were drizzled with soy sauce. Out of egg rolls. Worst sushi I have ever had. This restaurant needs a lot of work.

Highly recommend the Seven Falls roll. Service at the bar was great. I recommendation the miso soup as well.

  • Jimmy Z.

I ordered the 12 piece sashimi carry out. The rice was barely warm, there was no wasabi, no soy sauce and no dressing for the not-so fresh salad; which I did not realize until I got home. The four piece order of salmon roe was simply just thrown onto the plate, lumped together; it was not wrapped. I do not think I received the equivalent of 4 portions as ordered and it did not help that it was carelessly thrown into the box. Now the good news. They were very polite and professional, the salmon and the salmon roe were excellent, but the tuna was average.

Awesome environment, Paul, Matt, and the rest of his staff made my first time experience really fun and enjoyable. All you can east sushi option was a great pick on my part. Definitely going back again!

  • Bindi W.

Food was good but the service was bad. Took awhile for them to come take our order. I had to ask 3 times for wasabi/ginger, waited 10 minutes to get it. No refills on our drinks. Didn't come by and check on our table. Waited about for the check which we needed up having to go to the register to pay for our meal, and they didn't even know what we had ordered.

I just move to Colorado from a costal city so I do have high expectations for quality and freshness . It would be an understatement to say I was concerned.. what I've found here is absolute pure quality helpful, attentive staff and a great environment. They treat like you are the number 1 customer. And the creations are amazingly fantastic.!!! Love this place. Soon I will bring my vegetarian girl friend because they will be able to accommodate her unique taste

Good variety for all you can eat menu! We had really good service & the sushi & sashimi was fresh. My favorite was the maguro tataki--it was awesome. We tried lots of the chef's recommendations and were not disappointed. Stuffed!!!

  • Amy B.

Sushi Ring II is amazing! Great local feel. We were looking for good sushi and found it here. We did the all you can eat lunch and had to tell them to stop making sushi! My husband and I are used to the "all you can eat sushi" that brings 4 pieces per selection however, Sushi Ring serves whole rolls!! Paul was amazing also! Such a great feeling to have the owner so hands on. A must if you enjoy good sushi!

    (5)
  • Angie A.

The staff definitely made the difference! 21.95 for all you can eat, you can't ask for anything better!!! We had a group of 18 people and they made it work for us. Our chef was named Janna and we loved her! Definitely will be back again.

  • Marissa C.

Best sushi in Colorado Springs! You won't find better All You Can Eat sushi prices, especially during lunch! I can eat my fill of sushi, so All You Can Eat is always the way to go, for me. And talk about freshness! Every bite of sushi tastes as fresh as if they had just fished it out of the ocean themselves. Everyone should check out Sushi Ring II!

Best sushi experience I've had in quite sometimes. Visiting from Boston and Paul was extremely helpful and guided us through untraveled terrain while we took advantage of the all you can eat. He asked what we liked, what we didn't, and what we would like to try. My top three favorites were the Colorado Springs roll, peppered tuna, and Garden of the Gods roll. Can't wait till the add beer to the menu, definitely recommend this place. Oh and try the upside down shrimp. Cheers!

Best Sushi in Colorado Springs. Nice family owned and family friendly atmosphere. And all of the "locally" named rolls are quite creative and flavorful - GotG, 7falls, etc. Although I live in FL, I am a repeat customer and will return on my next trip.

  • Lacey M.

I'm sorry to say we had a terrible experience. The food was good but it took 45 minutes for anyone to notice that we were not served. Our waiter took out order then lost it. Had to wave down a waitress to find out they had no idea what we ordered. They lost our food order and then didn't do anything to make it up to us. We ended up sitting there for over an hour and a half for 3 rolls it was a very big disappointment.

Best sushi at a great price and fun friendly staff. It can get busy at times but it's totally worth the wait, especially in such a family friendly atmosphere. I don't go anywhere else for sushi in Colorado Springs and you shouldn't either!

  • Christine W.

Great local sushi place! I had the all you can eat which is a bargain for the price. The owners were very friendly and make you feel like family. The staff was super attentive and friendly. Being from Florida, I was hesitant to have sushi in a none coastal state but this place really does it right! Will definitely become regulars here and recommend to friends and family!

After visiting 4 times, this is my favorite sushi restaurant in Colorado Springs. The food is excellent, but the atmosphere is even better. The staff is always welcoming and makes you feel like part of the family. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant!!!

    (5)
  • Jim M.

Really great sushi for a fantastic value...their "All you can eat" deal is second to none. Unlike some AYCE places, they do it right and don't load you down with rice. The cuts are generous and the staff super friendly. I highly recommend Sushi Ring II. If you're in the area, check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Hands down, the best sushi around. Tonight was no different then any other night. The sushi was unreal. Paul, his wife, and staff were great and it is very apparent why this place is packed every night.

  • Bianca K.

L-O-V-E!!!!!! This place.... Was nervous when we first arrived as the place was packed and that can mean crappy service or that the place knows what they are doing..... This place knows what they are doing! The waiter was on point, personable, and took care of our needs. The environment was amazing, Customers were talking to each other giving pointers of what to order next and even sharing rolls! We enjoyed seeing our rolls made and they took time to explain everything to us. They know their sushi and how to pair it with amazing sauces. Basil Roll, Dragon Roll, Quail Egg Shooter, upside down shrimp...AMAZING! I will be back and will bring a larger stomach as there are so many rolls I need to bring my stretchy pants when I leave.

Delicious! Fresh! Best sushi in town! Paul, the owner, treated us like royalty! Great presentation! Good ambiance. Careful with our food allergies too! The Army Roll was delish!

Fantastic sushi, great service!! We even got free quail egg shooters. High-end food with a casual atmosphere and modest price. If you love sushi, get the very reasonable $27 all-you-can-eat deal. Chat up the very friendly sushi chefs for a laugh and recommendations. Loved this place, will come again when I'm back in the Springs.

I don't like sushi. I have family that does so I went along for the ride and hoped I could get something else. I got the Chicken and Shrimp Tempura plate and it was fantastic! We had to sit at the sushi bar since there are only two tables and they were both occupied but it was comfortable and actually preferred. The place was crowded which was a pleasant surprise. The family I was with got a few of the items off of the sushi menu and they loved it. I can't review what they ate but going by their reactions to it, it was very good. All of the food was presented well and the quantity was perfect. I had enough left over to take home with me. The only minor complaints I would have is that they are a little disorganized in their system of taking food orders. The hipster waiter didn't really know what to do and was a bit confused as to ask what questions and when. One thing I really dislike is having to come out and tell the waiter what I want to drink rather than being asked in the proper order and time. The owner also kept yelling orders back to the kitchen which isn't cool especially when people are sitting right in front of him at the bar and the place is so small. With the few minor exceptions it is a good place and the food is enjoyable. If you order off the menu for anything other than sushi the prices won't shock you and if you are a sushi eater then those prices shouldn't come as a surprise to you either.

Well it's been 5 months since my last review and food is still perfectly great. Service is great. And to be honest, I would rather eat here than any other restaurant that I've been to. I'm from Georgia and I've been to legitimate Japanese sushi restaurants where they serve sashimi on a boat and all that fancy stuff and upscale all you can eat Asian seafood buffet. This place's service, staff, and food beats all of the places I've been to. When they're really busy, you might not get as much attention, but at the end of the day, they'll still treat you well. I really don't like going to the same restaurant often, but this place makes me go back for more every time. I have been going here for about twice a month ever since I first went in February. And I plan to go back that often or more for a long time. It's a must try place if you're craving sushi.

Really great place! Now the food itself I give four stars, considering that I'm eating sushi in Colorado. The quality is as fresh as you can hope for being far from the coast. My husband and I would often take out from this location until the owner encouraged us to try the AYCE. We are glad he did! (Not sure he was too thrilled, we would've racked up quite the bill had we taken out) We got to try many apps that we don't usually get. Plus the AYCE doesn't limit you in the rolls or the sashimi. That's very rare from my experience! The take out is always good, they never skimp on my quantities of protein. You can expect the same with the AYCE. The miso soup full of veggies and tofu, a little salty but better than most. The fried calamari is delicious! Great batter, well seasoned. They are closed on Sundays, parking lot is also a HUGE pain in the ass. Also, if you eat sushi alone, they almost always have food network on, could be good or bad. Lastly, this place is always pretty slow, let's keep this great place in business!

Prompt and Attentive Staff that Want to Make Your Dining Experience Awesome...Check! Blow Your Mind AYCE Value...Check! Me Eating Here a Lot...Double Check! Food? Awesome. Guys making the rolls and sushi behind the bar? Great. Service at a table? Terrible. Slow, unorganized, needed to be told by the sushi guys to clear tables and places at the bar. Another group sat at a table for about 20 minutes, were never attended to at all, and eventually got up and left. Work on your serving staff, Sushi Ring II, because the food is awesome and the ambiance is great, but service like that will turn people away. I recommend sitting at the bar when you go.

Not the best sushi I've ever had but still pretty darn good. Upside down shrimp was addicting, I could seriously eat that all night long! The service was very friendly, and we will be back just for that!

I lived in Florida for 7 years and I can honestly say the quality of Sushi Ring II rivals some of the best sushi restaurants on the East Coast. The staff is eclectic and wonderfully friendly in a non-intrusive way. The owners and staff create such a welcoming environment that you'll feel like long-time friends even it it's your first visit. All the niceties of this cozy restaurant would normally demand a high price tag, however, Sushi Ring II manages to keep costs reasonable - even competitive - for their superb quality. Five words: all-you-can-eat-sushi. It's such a great experience! Our favorite new restaurant!

  • Sally C.

We had a really bad time here. Walked in and were not greeted or seated for 10 minutes. Then waited forever to get our food. The table next to us came in later, had a bigger order, and were served and done before we were served. All the while the staff was behind the counter eating. The rice in the sushi was undercooked. The crab in the California roll was dried out. We had a hunch we should have just walked out. It would have been a much better decision than staying.

SOLD, I also dragged my husband to this joint and so glad we did. I almost didn't want to post a review to keep this gem to myself. Delightful staff, fresh sushi, and clean joint, and easy to park. Go for the all you can eat you will not be disappointed

Amazing food amazing staff. We were visiting from Florida when a sudden snow storm hit. Living in a hotel room we can't really cook and we are foodies so fast food just will not do. Well apparently when it snows here restaurants close. The wonderful staff at Sushi Ring II allowed us to come in and fill our bellies even though they were also closing. We couldn't of had a better experience. Highly recommend this establishment for both their food and service.

Best Sushi I've had since moving here. My wife and I did the all you can eat dinner and got to sample many things on the menu. The miso soup is the best I've ever had and if you are looking for a tasty appetizer try the Calamari and the Mussels too. It was fun spending time with my love while watching the guys, prepare each thing we ordered. Try the Army Ring, 7 Falls and the Garden of the Gods, they are all great!

On 8/5 I went in to Sushi Ring II and noted an off odor. I have been a long time fan of Sushi Ring and opening day at their second location was a superb experience. I asked Paul about the odor on my 8/5 visit and what I took for defensiveness may have well been shock on his part. His response here on yelp was exactly what was required and indeed, I may have been a bit harsh in my criticism of Sushi Ring II on that day and in retrospect I believe what I smelled to simply be the odor of cooked fish from a deep fried roll or an appetizer. I decided to give them another go and the quality was back up to par with what I remember from back in the day - fresh fish, perfect nigiri and rolls (the rice/fish ratio is the best here), a clean establishment and professional, friendly, fun staff. I've lived all over the USA, on both coasts, and been to Sushi joints in Mid-town Manhattan with $500 Omakase and top Zagat ratings and the Sushi Ring family of businesses is hands down my favorite of all time - how they manage that in a land-locked state is beyond me. Paul and the Sushi Ring gang are still doing a bang up job, give 'em a chance. : )

Amazing. It was our first time here and we are in love. We will be back. We went with the all you can eat lunch deal and it worked out perfectly. We tried some new types of rolls and some of our usual. Everything we tried was excellent and filling. The staff made us feel welcomed and seemed to care about making sure we were happy and comfortable. They also answered any questions we had with no issue. The bf and I have found our sushi go to place after 7 years of trying numerous other places in Colorado Springs.

This is a small place tucked away in a shopping center in CO Springs that I never would have guessed it would be so amazing!! We got take out on a Thursday night and it was packed in there! The prices weren't bad at all the sushi was quality. They also have an all you can eat option that I plan on doing next time :)

My husband and I have decided to give sushi one more chance in CS and we're really glad that we did! We went with who had the highest ratings on Yelp and we couldn't have been happier! Paul and his crew go out of their way to make sure they have a clean setting with polite service and delicious food. We didn't order the AYCE since we had our two young children with us but his sushi chef made it a point to give them bite size portions for their cucumber roll. Their miso soup, although not traditional fare, was delicious! The lobster roll, ika, salmon, hotate, tobiko and basil salmon roll were ALL delicious and very fresh. My husband and I have agreed that we will be returning quite often for our sushi fix and hopefully, will have a chance to do the AYCE. :-)

We stopped here after an afternoon at Pikes Peak-saw their sign from highway 24 and took a chance, being from out of town. Great variety of sushi rolls which we enjoyed with the all-you-can-eat option. Very friendly owners and sushi chef. Will definitely let other friends coming to this area know about this place.
